Schiphol Airport

 

In previous post, We made a transit at Moscow Airport and used the Moscow Airport Lounge for three hours via the airport before going to Amsterdam Schiphol airport in the Netherlands.

Three hours was a moderate transfer time which was neither long nor short, and I was able to take a proper rest at Moscow Airport Galaxy Lounge.

To travel to Europe, you have to fly for a long time, and Moscow, Russia seems to be a convenient stopover.

In Europe in 2018 , I made a transfer from Amsterdam Schiphol airport to Amsterdam to go to London.

But it is not too bad to take a short break from Moscow airport.

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

 

Schiphol Airport (Google Maps) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is a hub airport of global facilities located in the southwestern outskirts of Amsterdam city center.

 

 

It is located close to the city center so you can reach the central station of Amsterdam city center within 20 minutes by subway.

I arrived in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport at about 11pm local time.

I was very tired after 24 hours from my home in Seoul, South Korea.

It is late at night and I just want to go to the hostel and take a shower and rest.

 

Late at night, Schiphol Airport was leisurely.

I got off the plane and moved in a hurry, so I was able to complete the entry procedure relatively quickly.

I showed my passport to an immigration officer and received an immigration stamp without any questions.

 

 

I quickly spotted the billboard and confirmed the baggage number on which the baggage of the plane we were boarding was dropped.

Because there was a lot of baggage, I dragged one cart and waited for the baggage to come out.

The move to the port of entry and the immigration check were completed quickly, but there was no way I could wait because there was no luggage.

Waiting longer than I thought, I was able to find my luggage.

Now we can go outside the entry area and exchange traffic for tomorrow, then go to the Hilton Hotel.

 

Inside Schiphol Airport

 

The Netherlands Amsterdam is scheduled to stay for two nights and three days, but the first day arrives at 11pm and the last day is the day (24 hours), as we will need to take the EuroLine bus to Brussels, Belgium.

The 24-hour traffic ticket will be exchanged for one of the pre-purchased Holland Pass tickets.

We can exchange at GWK Travelex at Schiphol Airport, but it was already closed because of late hours.

 

 

I want to be able to exchange it by unmanned. I went to the automation device next to it and pressed it.

Later, it was an automated device for cash withdrawals and currency exchange.

I would have exchanged it the next morning, but I made the mistake of choosing the one I wanted to exchange immediately

The 24-hour traffic ticket can be exchanged with the Gold Tulip ticket on the Holland Pass.

At GWK Travelex, which I visited the next morning, the staff said that it would be better to have a different sightseeing spot with a gold tulip ticket, but we exchanged it with a 24-hour traffic ticket for convenience.

 

I spent a lot of time and energy wandering around Schiphol airport to find GWK Travelex.

I also saw GWK Travelex, which was closed, and I wasted a little more time and stamina than I thought it would be possible elsewhere.

 

Go to the Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam, Netherlands

 

I had to move to the hostel hastily because it was too late.

Once out of the airport, we had to take a shuttle bus to the Hilton Hotel.

 

 

It was late at night, but there were many people inside Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.

Travelers from all over the world were busy moving to their destinations.

 

 

It is the state of the airport which I took out from Amsterdam airport in the Netherlands and took outside.

There is a sign in the Schiphol airport just in the dark, all-seated picture.

 

 

Although I amsterdam sculpture was seen, I took a picture and moved because I had to go quickly to the Hilton Hotel which was dark and also the hostel.

 

 

There were many people at the bus stop in front of Amsterdam Airport.

There were various people who used airport bus, city bus, hotel shuttle bus.

When I found the shuttle bus to the Hilton Hotel, it was already a little over 11pm, and the bus was supposed to run until 11pm.

Oh ~ The hotel was not far from the airport, but it seemed difficult to walk with my luggage.

But I did not have the courage to move by a taxi.

I discovered it the next morning, but I was able to travel comfortably to the Hilton Hotel on the way to the parking building inside the airport.

We wait for the shuttle bus of Hilton Hotel for a while, and decided to walk if it does not come.

Foreign tourists who waited for the shuttle bus in the same place as us started to walk and go to the hotel after giving up waiting.

I would have waited five more minutes, the moment I thought I would not come and walked to the hotel!

I checked once again that the shuttle bus was right for the shuttle bus driver and boarded it.

The shuttle bus driver kindly put our baggage on the shuttle bus, gave a smile and greeted the welcome.

I thought I would walk to the hotel on the dark road, but I could safely go there.

 

 

It is the Hilton Hotel shuttle bus which we took when we moved to the Schiphol airport bus stop to go to next hotel after check-out of Hilton Hotel the next morning.

The shuttle bus did not make the right time, so I decided to walk to the airport. I went to the parking lot building on the left side of the photo, took the elevator, moved to the 2nd floor and moved to the airport.

That’s right. If I came to the hotel through that road last night, I did not have a big problem even if I did not take the shuttle bus.

If you arrive at Schiphol airport late at night and have lost your hotel shuttle bus, please use the access to the parking lot.

 

 

It is very convenient to move because there is a smooth material floor and a cart that can carry a carrier.

Now, We should now take the bus to the second hotel in Amsterdam, the Holiday Inn hotel.

 

Schiphol Airport is coming back!  (Travel to Europe in 2018 )

This time I arrived in the daytime, so I was able to explore the airport in more detail.

 

 

We were able to see more travelers than we did in 2015.

This time we moved to the transfer gate and moved to another gate, so we were able to look around where we had not seen before.

 

 

Thanks to KLM flights, which are Dutch nationals, the distance to the transfer gate was short.

The connecting flight has been connected to the gate that can be reached within 5 minutes.

The transfer time was as short as an hour and We could not get out of the airport.

 

 

Popular characters Miffy, Dutch illustrator Dick Bruner is a rabbit character.

It comes from the meaning of a small rabbit in Dutch.

I was a little disappointed that I could not get out of the airport.

But I saw the shops inside the airport and nice cartoon characters.
